This winter season, bid adieu to dryness!

This winter season, bid adieu to dryness!

Winter is our favorite season since they make us feel warm and snug inside our super comfortable blankets and quilts. Don’t you just love relaxing in your room with the heater on and enjoying a delicious hot cocoa? Even though winters are enjoyable, there is still one issue that arises as the season kicks in – SKIN DRYNESS, which demands great winter skincare.

Winter skin care doesn’t have to be complex, it just has to be proper. In order to learn how to take care of your skin throughout the winter, we had a word with our skin specialist and included their top tips for winter skincare for both your face and body in this guide. So, Let’s get started!

1. Keep Your Warm Showers Short.

Do you know that exposure to water is a key reason why skin becomes so dry during winters?

To prevent this, we recommend that you layer your skin with body oil after coming out of shower.

We recommend using Indulgeo Essentials Hermosa/Hermoso/Blooming Body oil

With pure essential oils of Sandalwood, Carrot seed, Sweet Almond and Olive Squalane , it acts as a perfect after-shower body oil. Gently massage it into your after-shower damp skin to retain moisture and keep it soft and supple.  Rich in nutrients and regenerative properties of this bath oil helps in restoring the natural glow of the skin. Also, keep the temperature of your water lukewarm. Hot water dries out the skin excessively.

2. Do Not Forget To Drink Water!

Most people tend to forget to drink enough water when it’s cold as the body doesn’t feel so dehydrated. However, it is known that the drier and colder temperature depletes our skin’s natural moisture content. If you don’t drink enough water, no amount of moisturizing will be able to compensate for dehydration. Instead of consuming a lot of water at once, it is advised that you sip water throughout the day. You may always slightly boil the water and keep it in a flask and drink it to keep your body hydrated and your throat healthy.

3.. Gently Scrub Away The Dry Skin

The majority of us are aware of how important moisturizing your skin is during winter. However, no matter how often we moisturize our skin, dry skin won’t go away without a gentle exfoliation. You might be concerned about hurting your skin if you scrub your skin in the cold. However, you can exfoliate your skin without any negative effects if you choose the correct scrub. We strongly advise using organic scrubs on both the face and the body. Our dry exfoliator, OUCH, is manufactured with natural ingredients that has a mild exfoliating impact on the skin, as opposed to chemical scrubs that include plastic microbeads.

4. Apply moisturizer more than twice a day

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: if you want skin that is soft, supple, and naturally luminous over the winter, you must swear by regular moisturizing. You must undoubtedly invest in a good day cream that provides skin hydration and a night cream that helps your skin renew and rejuvenate overnight. Face oils can be the best moisturizing agents for that matter. We would recommend some of our face oils- Rose Gold Oil, Quench, Zafferano, etc.

5. Pay Attention to those Lips.

Our last skin care advice concerns your lips!

Did you know that among all of your body parts, the skin on your lips is the thinnest? Your lips often get chapped during the winters due to this same reason. One should always include a lip oil or lip balm in their routine to treat dry, chapped, and dark lips and to keep them smooth, supple and nourished. We would recommend our POUT IT– which locks in the natural oils and adds moisture for glossy, healthy lips. This hydrating lip oil comprises a rich blend of essential oils to rescue dry and chapped lips. It also contains 24K gold flakes, Jamaican coffee beans, and Argan oil.

So this was it! – Our overview of winter skincare ends here. These are a few suggestions that are effective for everyone. It is important to keep in mind the requirements of your skin during winters. The least you could do is apply a hand lotion frequently if your hands are prone to becoming dry.
